Brian Hoover is the newest Mortgage Officer with American Family Funding. Brian is a licensed mortgage loan originator with the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System as well as licensed with the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation. Brian is an outstanding member of the National Association of Mortgage Brokers and has a certificate in Real Estate investing from Udemy College as well as from Charles Schwab in investing insights. Brian has been investing in real estate for over 15 years and currently has a limited partnership interest in a property management company with over 1000 units under management. Brian has a certificate in Ethical Leadership from the Fire Service as well as a degree in Fire Science.

Brian is a veteran firefighter for the City of Los Angeles with over 18 years of experience. Brian has served various cities during his career. His favorite assignment was a pier grouper (instructor) at the LAFD drill tower where he was tasked with implementing logistical change, educating, and mentoring hundreds of new recruits through didactic and physical skills.

Brian has been a lifelong Santa Clarita Valley resident where he proudly resides. Brian has coached multiple youth baseball and football teams at the Castaic Sports Complex and for Santa Clarita Youth Baseball. He was recognized by the County of Los Angeles with a commendation for his efforts and in 2020 received the Cesar Chavez Volunteer Award in recognition of his dedicated service to the affairs of the community and for the civic pride demonstrated by numerous contributions for the benefit of all the residents of Los Angeles County.
